PLACING ORDERS

8″ cakes are available with the quickest turnaround. You can place an order at least 72 hours in advance. During popular seasons, my baking schedule often fills up. Orders for custom decorated cakes and cupcakes should be placed as far in advance as possible; I do my best to accommodate last-minute custom orders, but I cannot guarantee availability. 

​

Orders should be placed at least two-weeks in advance. Sooner is always better. Last minute orders will incur a 25% rush fee being added to the final invoice's total. Deposit/retainer options will not apply to rush orders placed with less than a week of a "need-by" date, in which case, the total invoice must be paid in full at the time the order is placed if the order's total is considered substantial.

REFUNDS & RETURNS

All sales are final, with the exception of custom orders cancelled with sufficient notice (discussed below).  In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your order, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can fix any error, and return the uneaten portion within 24 hours. Partial or full refunds are decided on a case-by-case basis, but please note that I do not provide refunds in cases where flavor or texture did not meet a personal preference.

CUSTOM ORDERS

A 50% non-refundable retainer/deposit is due at the time of placing any custom order and/or wedding cake order.

 

For all wedding cakes, a final payment is due one (1) week prior to the delivery or pick-up of the wedding/reception date.  In the event of cancellation on or within one week, these monies are forfeit less any money already spent on purchases toward items for your wedding/reception order. The balance of what's left will be credited toward a future purchase(s). If final payment is not made on or within one week of wedding/reception date, the order is considered canceled. A credit less any incurred expenses will be issued to the original invoicee.

​For all other custom cake orders made more than two weeks in advance of "need-by" date , the total amount is due upon pick-up or delivery. Final payments must be made upon receiving your "order ready" text or email notification.

For all other custom cake orders, 72 hours notification of cancellation is required. If cancellation occurs on or within this window, the 50% deposit/retainer is non-refundable.

DESIGN FINALIZATION

​

For wedding cakes, the date of your final payment is the final date for any changes to size and flavors for the cake.  The design/style- of your cake must be finalized one (1) month prior to your wedding/reception date. All other custom cake orders are final at the time of deposit. Any changes requested after these dates (wedding & custom cakes) cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional rush-order charges based upon time, product availability, or complexity of the change.

CAKE & DECOR PREPARATION

My products may come in contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. It is your responsibility to notify your guests and hold I, J's Cakes/Erus Involo, DBA, not responsible/harmless to any allergic reaction. J's Cakes products may contain inedible materials, such as plastic accessories, floral wire, wooden/plastic dowels, etc. I, J's Cake, Erus Involo, DBA, am not responsible for injury or illness due to the ingestion of said materials.
